At Will’s Kids, we believe every child has a fundamental right to win!  Children want to succeed and will excel with proper support.  But not all children have equal access to the tools and activities that build skill sets and promote successful, winning attitudes. In fact, recent economic times have widened the chasm of socioeconomic need at all levels of society, leaving us with unprecedented levels of poverty in America. It has become the single greatest threat to American children today! 

So what is Will’s Kids? We are a champion for children living in poverty – removing the barriers to their success, restoring hope for their futures, and revitalizing the dreams and passions that will carry them forward. Built on the premise that the inspiration and encouragement of even one child makes the world at large a better place, Will’s Kids is a portal for education and achievement. Our programs empower kids to develop skills and talents and to excel academically, exposing the face of success and the power of dreams. By providing and subsidizing sports and fine arts activities, we pave the way for potential scholarship tracks and provide pathways out of poverty. 

We love the story of Michael Ohers… a street child more homeless than not, a child with little hope and broken dreams, who just last year put a Super Bowl ring on his finger! His story inspired a movie and moved a nation. He and the hundreds of thousands of kids just like him are the reason Will’s Kids exists. It is the story of what can happen when barriers are removed and hidden treasures are discovered… the gifts bestowed on us all.  

So the question we often ask at Will’s Kids is “How many Michael Ohers, how many Mozarts and how many Michelangelos do we leave in the wake of poverty?”
