Exactly what Will's Kids is all about to support the youth of our time and allow then to be the best they can be! For so little (in terms of financial support) so much can be accomplished for these most deserving kids. Hopefully others will see this and step up to the need in our community. We should not be fooled to think that we are such a affluent community that there are really few needs - the needs are great. Families have lost jobs and there are a lot of single family situations in our community that cry for help but don't want to ask! Our school system has very limited resources to help some of these kids but they can be the catalyst in bringing Will's Kids to the rescue. Help if you can!!

When President Bush said that it would "take a village" to raise a kid he knew exactly what he was saying. The villages of Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Fall Creek, Summerwood and Spring support so many good non profits work. If you are not on the Dream Team at Will's Kids please check it out and sign up for something - just because you want to be a part of the solution!!

This is really an example of the power of facebook and the internet. We also had a response from a supporter in Dallas who wants to help support the Parkway Family Gala on April 8th with a auction item. He saw a posting on LinkedIn. Will's Kids will be the recipient of the gala's proceeds. What a great following that seems to be developing.

It's funny sometimes how people touch our lives -- how a complete stranger can make a difference. Such is the case with Tara Hutchinson. I do not know this woman --wouldn't recognize her if I were standing right next to her --but she has reached a hand through cyberspace and touched the lives of our kids. Her stunning creation of "Family" is exquisite in its artistry and and poignant with its symbolism, and we are so fortunate to accept this gift for our charity auction.

I would encourage everyone to visit her website (http://www.etsy.com/shop/tarahutchjewelry) and browse through her remarkable collection . Her story and her work will inspire you the same way it has touched me!
